When talking about your dog's health there are really only three factors to consider - breeding, environment and nutrition. The breeding we can do nothing about. You can't change breeding once you've got your dog. The environment you can't really change either. Unless you live beside a paint factory and decide to move. To a certain extent if you live in the city your dog is going to suffer the environment just as we do. If you live in the country your dog is not going to suffer from the same degree of harmful environmental pollutants. The one thing you CAN change and control on a daily basis is what goes into your dog - nutrition.

The BARF Diet, or Nature's Diet is not a new thing, it's an old thing. This is the diet that Mother Nature has been feeding wolves and all canine species for their entire existence. Why should we, as humans, think we know better than what Mother Nature intended for them? To feed our dogs the way we feed ourselves is our own natural instinct but poison for our pets! A Human diet is based on grain, the problem is that no where in the wild do wolves bake bread! Their diet and that of their descendants, man's best friend, does not consist in any way, of grain. A dog's biology is specifically designed to eat bones and raw food, their stomachs have a lower PH level than humans, which is why they can eat raw meat and bones and humans can not. It was never designed to eat grains and processed food. They need what Mother Nature intended for them - Nature's Diet!
